Win 300$

The rumor comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, also considered the most credible man in Apple’s prediction.

The analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is often considered the most serious in terms of revelations about Apple products. The man has just published a report stating that iPhones scheduled for 2020, should support 5G technology. He also noted that two new sizes of iPhones will be available.

3 iPhones compatible with 5G

Three new iPhones will be unveiled in 2020, according to Ming-Chi Kuo. Among them, there would be a rather high-end iPhone available in two sizes: 5.4 and 6.7 inches with OLED screens, as well as a 6.1-inch model with the same type of screen. He is also confident that at least 2 of the 3 iPhones planned for 2020 will be able to support 5G technology. With the massive deployment of 5G Android smartphones, Apple could even go so far as to release 3 compatible iPhones.

In the Ming-Chi Kuo report, we read: “There are three obvious reasons why we think the new iPhones will be compatible with 5G: Apple has more resources to develop the iPhone 5G after acquiring part of Intel. We believe that prices for Android 5G smartphones will drop in 2020. The trigger for Apple is that consumers think 5G is the essential feature in 2020. Therefore, the models of iPhones that will be sold at higher prices must absolutely be compatible with 5G”

With Intel, Apple is stronger

Now that Apple has acquired a portion of Intel, for the modest sum of $1 billion (€900 million),  the apple brand should be able to invest more in the development of the 5G. Already last April, Intel was abandoning the 5G modem market following the agreement signed between Qualcomm and Apple. In addition to withdrawing from the market, Intel has chosen to sell its 5G modem business. Cupertino’s firm jumped at the opportunity.
